Target Factory Inspection Introduction
Target's first department store was established in 1962, with its headquarters located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Compared to other department stores, Targets place greater emphasis on discounted prices and clever design, catering to current fashion trends. After 50 years of development, Target has become the second largest discount chain retailer in the United States.
Target factory inspection includes three parts: Target quality inspection, Target human rights inspection, and Target anti-terrorism inspection.
The Target factory audit standard is to comply with local laws and regulations and Target supplier contract guidelines, commonly known as Target Global Compliance Audit, to ensure that all suppliers and their factories meet the Target factory audit standards: local legal requirements, US federal government regulations, US customs requirements, and Target company policies.

The standard requirements for Target factory inspection are:
1. Target factory audits are mandatory - all registered Target suppliers and their factories must participate and undergo global compliance audits.
2. Target factory inspection is conducted without prior notice (surprise) - neither the supplier nor the factory will receive prior notice before Target factory inspection. This way, we can learn about the factory on a representative day.
3. Target factory inspection for verification of global compliance registration information - The information registered by suppliers in Target's "Business Partner Management System", including factory address and contact information, must be accurate and up-to-date. The US Customs and Border Protection requires Target to know where the product is produced.
4. Each factory has a maximum of three opportunities to pass Target's factory inspection (in compliance with local laws and regulations and Target supplier contract guidelines) If a third (last chance) Target factory inspection is required, the factory or supplier shall pay the third Target factory inspection fee.
