SA8000 (Social Accountability 8000) is the world's first social responsibility certification standard for workplaces in all industries. It is based on the norms of international workplace conduct contained in the International Labour Organization Convention, the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The SA8000 standard sets a precedent for companies to improve and demonstrate their fulfillment of corporate social responsibility in respecting basic human rights in the workplace. Validity period of SA8000 certification certificate
The SA8000 certification is valid for 3 years and undergoes a supervision audit every 6 months, with the second and fourth audits being conducted without notification.
Before the SA8000 certification audit, companies should conduct a social responsibility fingerprint self-assessment on the SAAS website.
